My blog is one month old!

This day last month I wrote my first post. It feels a lifetime away. There have been so many books! The blog gave more focus to my reading, so within this month Iโ€™ve done more reading than I did during any other month of my life.

There have been fifteen titles altogether! The reviews of all of them except one are already in the blog. Five of the titles are actual books and ten of them are audiobooks. Iโ€™ve never done so much concentrated work with books before. I love the process! Writing book posts is one of the most rewarding activities I have ever done. I always loved analysing books but the possibility to share what I think is even more thrilling.

The review I like the most on my blog is probably about Trevor Noahโ€™s book because it has lots of outdoor photos.

The best book I read this month is The Air You Breathe byย Frances de Pontes Peebles. Iโ€™m still missing the characters.

Other books that I consider definitely worthy of attention are A Man Called Ove, Everything Under and Born a Crime. The books that I would have easily done without are all the thrillers I listened to. They are in falling stars and thrillers categories in my blog.

My favourite non-review post is about Kindle vs print. I feel like this topic should be explored even deeper.

Right now the blog has 64 followers. Iโ€™ve had conversations with some of them. I love staying in touch with an amazing artist, my friend from many epochs, the author ofย Neowatercolor blog. Her paintings are unique, beautiful and emotional. Thanks to my blog I was introduced to another awesome blog called Same Scene Different Story. It has an idea Iโ€™ve never met before. Several writers compose their stories based on the same photo. I find it very inspirational. I loved staying in touch with Nsfordwriter, Ova and Umut.ย Nsfordwriter is also a new blog. Its author reviews books and sometimes posts examples of her own writing. Ova and Umut always have great book suggestions. Itโ€™s priceless to know people who can suggest good books to you.

Thatโ€™s a short summary of the first month. Iโ€™m looking forward to the next month, new books and more interesting people to meet.

Happy Birthday dear Blog! โค๏ธย ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŒŸ

  1. Congratulations on a prolific first month and on creating such a fine blog. My favourite too was your review of Born a Crime by Trevor Noah. Great review and I loved the photographs. It has definitely given me a few ideas. Your enthusiasm for Same Scene Different Story is very much appreciated. I will continue to mention your site to friends and fellow bloggers. To have 65 followers on board after only a month is good going and I hope that others will soon be enjoying your work and spreading the word.
Is the photograph in this post one of your own?
Here’s looking forward to the next month ๐Ÿ™‚
    Best wishes

    1. Thank you for your kind words! I wonder what ideas my photos gave you ๐Ÿ™‚ I love taking photos. I’m expecting a new paperback to arrive soon. As soon as it’s here I’ll take it for another outdoor photoshoot! ๐Ÿ˜€ The photo for the post does look like the one I could take but it’s not mine. I took it from https://pixabay.com/. It’s a site with photos that you can download and use for free.

  2. Well done and happy blogmonthday! I think our blogs were both ‘born’ around the same time. Glad you like to talk to me, LOL. You write good stuff. I will always talk to people whose stuff is worth reading.

  3. Happy Birthday ! and Thank You for such super kind words about my paintings ๐Ÿ™‚

the month has flown by, and you have accomplished so many reviews, I have enjoyed them all, and you have inspired me to read authors new to me….Ernest Hemingway, for starters !

    Awesome work, well done !

Thank you for being my friend ! and here’s to many more epochs ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you! โค๏ธ โค๏ธ โค๏ธ If I really help people discover more about books that’s the best accomplishment ever ๐Ÿ˜

  4. Happy one month blogiversary!! I just celebrated two months for my blog, so I share your excitement. ๐Ÿ™‚ I also loved A MAN CALLED OVE; I think it is one of my favorite books of all time. Looking forward to reading more from you and your blog!

      1. I tried reading BEARTOWN, but it was very different from OVE. It’s a completely different topic (ice hockey) and it’s very…bleak? I felt like nothing was happening. I was told by so many people that it takes awhile to get going, but once it does, it’s awesome. However, I just couldn’t keep going after 100 pages; I stopped reading it. But you should give it a try’; it’s definitely appealed to a lot of people.
