On a different topic – nothing to do with your fab post – I’m reading Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” for the first time. I love it! It’s been far too long since I’ve read Dickens.

Well, I was stuck with Maggie. It was either her, or a total solitude with no alternative for a few hours. By the time I understood what I had gotten myself into I already knew Maggie quite well, so I decided to last through her monologues till the end. At least, this way I could make sure that my perception of what’s going on was right.

HA! This review is hysterical. I feel like I would not be able to be Maggie’s friend for very long; too needy. She sounds like she’d be a good best friend to herself. So, I think I’ll skip this book. 🙂 Too bad, because the premise (and the title) are intriguing. But meh, I have enough whiny people to deal with. 😉

I don’t think this one’s for me… she sounds like the sort of friend who keeps you talking when you need to be somewhere doing something important! Also I notice things like repeated words, I don’t like the sound of all those maybes 🙂

In reply to Shalini. Shalini, what a wonderful attitude and sense of humour, thanks for the laugh. You are right, those probably aren't really true friends and I totally know what you mean. With Maggie though, you also have to pay for the medium that will teleport her into your life.
