Yes it is! I am really liking its multi-layered plot, although I’m not sure if you would like the slow pace.
I have considered adding The Essex Serpent to my TBR. It sounds quite a full-on book – hope you are enjoying it so far!

Is the first one the one you bought on Black Friday? I’ll wait for your final verdict on it. I was also looking at it but still haven’t decided to read or not to read it 🙂 As for Swimming Lessons, nope, I haven’t read it. I think I need a longer break after Bitter Orange. If all her books are like that, I’m not in the right mood for it right now.
I’m quite ok, thank you. Reading The Essex Serpent, and Patrick Melrose and I don’t have anything light to read in between, so that’s a problem. These two books can be overwhelming, each in its own way.

Hi Alexandra! The year is going ok so far. Currently reading I Am Watching You by Teresa Driscoll, which is much more mystery than thriller but the writing is very sophisticated and is keeping me guessing.
Next on my TBR is Swimming Lessons by Claire Fuller – have you read that one?
