I tried Rebecca a very long time ago. It's almost like I haven't read it, so I will try again. I've never read Louisa May Alcott, not even Little Women. Thanks for the link!

I need to read these. I tried reading REBECCA once when I was younger, but I think I was TOO young to appreciate it; it was a DNR for me. These days, though, I think I would really like du Maurier's writing. These short stories sound great.

Have you ever read the Gothic short stories by Louisa May Alcott, who wrote LITTLE WOMEN? They are SO good. I think you might like them, as well. Not sure this link will work for you, but this is the volume I have: https://www.amazon.com/Behind-Mask-Thrillers-Louisa-Alcott/dp/0688151329/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1543595399&sr=8-3&keywords=behind+the+mask+louisa

Ah, right. Ever since I started reading that much I forgot about the existence of series. I have yet to meet a book that would scare me a lot. I would love to, though. But it has to be clever. All the silly stuff with predictable suspense just annoys me. Can you think of a really good audiobook? I'm looking for one. Somehow it's so hard to find.

So far as I remember it is not superscary, but rather thrilling. But it takes a lot for me to be scarws by a book. The atmosphere on the moors is awesome!

And I mostly watch series or comedy / talks while crafting, but sometimes an audiobook

Thank you Bella! Yes, du Maurier wrote a lot of short stories. I already got myself another collection of her short stories. The fact that they are short stories doesn't make them any bit lighter though. I still needed a break between reading those few that I wrote about. Jamaica Inn is ahead of me. As I understood, it's going to be rather scary? Anyway, I will have to get it only after I read My Cousin Rachel, which is already waiting for me on the shelves. Are you listening to any audiobooks while you are creating?

Those sound like wonderful stories! I've read Jamaica Inn and thoroughly enjoyed that one. Also can see what you mean with not overexposing oneself to her writing because there's something magical to it, but it also tires one a bit :-p. Definetly going to remember she wrote short stories as well!
